Instagram Mascot Character Toy in the Works

There’s a natural crossover between technology and toys, and Chicago-based JC Rivera is carving out (literally) a new mascot for Instagram, one of my favorite social networks. Rivera created a clay prototype of “InstaCharacter” last year and Scott Wetterschneider of Shinbone Creative recently did the digital sculpt. This is a great little popject, and I’d definitely pick one up. People are still nuts for Andrew Bell’s Google Android toys. The time is ripe for an Instagram toy. Act fast before someone makes a Pinterest toy!
