In 1968, Professor Thomas R. Kane used a cat, a trampoline and a trampolinist in a spacesuit to find out how astronauts can move in space. Ralph Crane took images of both the cat and the trampolinist for LIFE magazine because it intrigued him. Jeremy Brautman made an animated gif of the cat because it amused him. I don’t really know what the result of this experiment was, but you can see the giddy trampolinist here.
