Toys by Design: Coarse Toys

After missing one issue due to too many competing deadlines, my Toys by Design column returns! Design Bureau is the first and only print design magazine to show love for toy art, so if you see it in your local bookstore, I encourage you to pick up a copy. The March/April issue is on newstands now, and along with a trove of gorgeous and inspiring stories about design, you can read my interview with Mark Landwehr of Coarse Toys.

Because space is at a premium in print, there is much more to the interview than made it into the magazine (view it online here). Mark is an extremely thoughtful and eloquent artist, and I’ll post our extended musings on my blog next week. Stay tuned.

Looking ahead, I just this week submitted a column about another amazingly talented designer for a future issue of DB. If you think I’m going to spoil who it is, you can ferget about it.
