The Regular Show interview with J.G. Quintel

J.G. Quintel, creator of Regular Show on Cartoon Network, is an 80s culture junkie. (He says that using “retro stuff” like cassette tapes and cartridge games “makes it feel more real.”) What a dream, then, to get Devo‘s Mark Mothersbaugh to score the show!

The Regular Show interview with J.G. Quintel

In anticipation of next week’s special release of their Regular Show watch, Vannen asked me to chat up J.G. Want to know his tips for aspiring animation artists? Or the indispensable tools of his trade? Or his vices? Head over to the Vannen blog to check out the full interview.  I’ll leave you with wise words from J.G. Quintel:

When you’re a kid, pretty much everything is awesome, but then you look back on some of that stuff and realize it was complete garbage. The challenge is trying to make things that will hold up after you grow up. We definitely try to do that with Regular Show.

Well said.
