Dada Baby

I kind of love this:

Gugusdada is an art project by the Swiss artist duo Com&Com for “Rewriting Worlds: Dada Moscow,” a Special Project of the 4th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art organised by Cabaret Voltaire in collaboration with Barbarian Art Gallery (Zurich) and Triumph Gallery (Moscow) We are looking for parents-to-be living in Russia whose child is going to be born in September or October 2011 and who would like to name him or her DADA. In return, the baby will be sponsored with a sum of $10.000. Closing date for the first round is July 31st, 2011. Only online applications will be accepted. In 2004, on the occasion of reopening Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, the artist duo Com&Com found their first baby willing to go by the name of Dada, whom they also appointed first ambassador of Dada. Since then, the temporary action has turned into a long-term project aimed at developing a global network of children called Dada. In 2016, they will all be invited to meet in Zurich on the occasion of 100 years of Dadaism.

Is it fair to turn your newborn into a conceptual art project? Perhaps not, but at least your kid gets a free trip to Zurich…That’s more than Fifi Trixibell (Bob Geldof and Paula Yates), Jermajesty (Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza) Kyd (David Duchovny and Tea Leoni), Moxie CrimeFighter (Penn Jillette and ?) Pilot Inspektor (Jason Lee and Beth Riesgraf) or Sage Moonblood (Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack) got straight out of the gate.

Get on this, Sergey Safonov!
