Gary Baseman x Frau Blau Fashion Design

What a cool collaboration. Gary Baseman has teamed up with Tel Aviv-based Frau Blau to create some of his characters as garments. Garbs of Creamy Goodness will present clothing designed by Frau Blau and inspired by the work of Baseman.

This is an exciting attempt to translate the characters fabric into sections and give them a life of its own. We worked all the way Gary’s full cooperation we had a constant dialogue with him. The works  are happy visual aspect as well as humorous philosophical aspect that includes ideas of wholeness, love, friendship, sex and sweetness of life.

Frau Blau is Helena Blaunstein and Philip Blau who founded their label in 2002 in Tel Aviv. The idea behind the Frau Brau label is “quality fashion with a humorous twist and escape from the ordinary.” Gary Baseman will be in attendance for the opening.
