Chris Ryniak for Comic-Con 2012
|Unfortunately, Chris Ryniak will not in attendance at Comic-Con this year, but his presence will be felt nonetheless. Ryniak, who loves nature, partnered with Ink It Labs to create a dimensional woodcut diorama. “Bugglestump Forest” is a custom-inked wood pop-out featuring Sitty Headleaf. Fifty pieces will be available at Dragatomi’s booth (#4935) for $50 each. Since it’s an open edition, expect to find it online after the convention. Cool.
Perhaps to wreak havoc with the SDCC GID Grim Marshall, you can also get a pair of glow-in-the-dark Mini Lake Monsters!
The figures were designed and sculpted by Chris Ryniak, with paint design and execution by Joe Somers (Squibbles Ink) and Kirby Kerr (Rotofugi). The GID Snyboras will be available from Day 1 until they sell out at the Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi booth (#4736) for $33 each.
Last but not least…the Triple Crown Monster. Designed by Chris Ryniak and sculpted by Scott Wetterschneider at Shinbone Creative, the TCM is both an art toy and a trophy (for winners of the Triple Crown of Yo Yo).
This epic toy stands seven inches tall and eight inches wide. The unpainted blue version is a limited edition of just 25 pieces and will be available during Comic-Con for $85 a piece at Rotofugi’s booth #4736.
I know they keep referring to the Bugglestump Forest as being an “open edition”, but this design is limited to 100 pieces per CMR.
