MINDstyle’s BAIT and Switch at Comic-Con 2012
Remember last year how MINDstyle’s Comic-Con setup recalled Bombay Company? For 2012, MINDstyle appears to have ceded their stall to BAIT, an LA-based lifestyle boutique. BAIT was quick to explain that they aren’t MINDstyle, and I even encountered one of their people introducing himself to Attaboy and Audrey Kawasaki with the opening line, “I’m from BAIT. We are NOT MINDstyle.” For a company occupying MINDstyle’s Comic-Con booth stocked with toys produced by MINDstyle, doth they protest too much?
In addition to sneakers, “SDCC-exclusive” vinyl toys by Gary Baseman, Devilrobots, Michael Lau, Erick Scarecrow and Ron English can be purchased (and/or pre-ordered) through BAIT online.
