Shear Individuality: Custom Scissors by Fashion Designers

For New York’s Fashion Week, designer Carin Goldberg, curated a collection of nine custom scissors by fashion designers. The cutting edge clippers include pieces by Doo-Ri Chung (Doo-Ri), Consuelo Castiglioni (Marni), Isaac Mizrahi, Maria Cornejo (Zero + Maria Cornejo), Brian Wolk and Claude Morais (Ruffian), Scott Sternberg (Band of Outsiders), Vincent Nicolosi, Sophie Buhai (Vena Cava) and Jason Wu.

This is not really my world, as my jafro probably indicates, and scissors always make me think of Dead Again. Anybody else? However, I quite like seeing designers put a unique spin on functional objects from their own industry. Elsewhere in the scissor scene, I wonder if Tabatha would approve???
