James Jarvis and Russell Waterman have a new web comic entitled The Wisdom of Caleb:
Caleb ambles through life at his own particular pace. Nothing of any consequence seems to happen. His friends and acquaintances include a squirrel and a belligerent sparrow. He loves donuts, sausages and getting lean. His observations are oblique and sometimes profound. Perhaps he is an urban mystic for right now.
Not only is this strip a good way to get familiar with the character prior to his likely arrival in vinyl, but it’s also terrific fodder for anglophiles like myself. For instance, both of these strips use the word “hench”. Upon closer inspection, I don’t think I’ll ever encounter being called “hench” in its primary meaning, but I look forward to more wisdom and wordplay from Jarvis, Waterman and Caleb!
