Kidrobot Fire Sales This Weekend

Kidrobot has had my attention the past few days for slashing prices on its products. It’s unusual for the company to offer such a large percentage discount on new toys, but the current Family Guy figures are on sale through Monday February 21st at 25% off blind boxes (coupon code FGKR25) and cases (coupon code FGKR30).

The twitterverse has speculated on whether Kidrobot is trying to free up some cash now that they’re operating independently, after DHX’s acquisition of Wildbrain. Observations elsewhere on the Internet sync up with this theory. Today, members-only men’s shopping site, Jackthreads, put up a pile of Kidrobot merchandise at 50-70% off.  As of right now, all of the toys are sold out, but there’s still a ton of T-shirts, hoodies, polos and New Era caps with designs by Frank Kozik, MAD, Simpsons and Shawnimals available. The sale is on through Sunday, but you have to be a member to partake. If you join through this link and end up buying something, I get a few bucks toward running this here blog.
