It would be too simplistic and cliche to begin this with “only in Japan,” but well, these artisanal wood Chupa Chup holsters are, in fact, from Japan. Designed by Yoji Okada,
the Chupa Chups lollipop cases are made with saddle leather and fine African Mahogany wood.

The company makes a variety of other high quality encasements (including additional candy cases), all with the same intense process. You can order the artisanal wood Chupa Chup holsters for 42 Yen or ~ $50 USD or the price of 100 Dum Dums here.

Ah Japan, mastering the art of making useless objects seem cool. If only America could make the funnel cake machine or cake pop maker into a design object.
