Urban Upgrades for Everyday Objects

Written on by jeremy

AK-LH "Flow"

AK-LH is a Paris-based graphic design and editions studio specializing in interior decoration with a flare for urban art. They use digital printing and a cotton canvas to upgrade everyday objects like wingchairs, cushions, toys, handbags, oven mitts, aprons and tea towels. Maybe it’s just me, but I knew this company was French when I saw the photo above. Only French DJs can still look cool while spinning vinyl with an urban ove-glove. But I digress, and I like AK-LH’s anatomy range called “Flow”.

AK-LH "Flow"

Flow was AK-LH’s premier collection. It was designed in 2008 as an “exploration of the human body’s internal universe.”

In the age of body desecration, from disturbing media images to intentional surgical transformations, this collection gives a curious and humorous look to our anatomical intimacy.

Click through for more AK-LH objects in the same vein (get it???) or check out their website for collections based on food, comics, freaks, etc.
