Photographer Turns People into Living Dolls

By now, most people have heard of RealDolls, which according to Wikipedia “some owners use merely as stand-ins for human models in photography or other visual art.” Photographer and creative re-toucher, Hayden Wood, recently put a unique spin on this. Rather than using dolls made to look like people for his photoshoot, he made real people look like living dolls.

I had to do a double-take, but Living Dolls are real people (models James Web and Meagan Therese Squire) with wardrobe styled by Meagan Therese Squire and photography, art direction and retouching by Hayden Wood.

Wood has a Before & After section on his website, but the Living Dolls series isn’t on there. I’d be curious to see the doll-like evolution of these human models through makeup and styling and then after digital retouching. In any event, it is a really interesting effect. Creepy or cool?

Check out the whole series at the Living Dolls Behance page.
