Merci Gustave is rumored to be embarking on a new series of limited edition Eiffel Towers, which begins with French street artist, André. The Eiffel Towers are 12-inch collectibles cast out of 400g zinc alloy. These pieces walk that line of subjective perception between art object and nicknack. This is something that can often be shifted from the latter to the former by the inclusion of certain artist collaborators, as well as, obviously, viewing the works in person. Former Eiffel Tower collections are available here for € 49-€ 59 (~$72-$87 USD) and you can pre-order the André Eiffel Tower from colette for € 89 (~$109 USD). Here’s a bit more about the company:
Merci Gustave was born from the meeting of two strong and complementary people, Nathalie Leret, keen on fashion, jewelry and ready-to-wear, and Yves Castelain, creative talent, who was born and raised just at the foot of the Iron Lady. Merci Gustave produces three collections a year to the delight of art lovers and collectors of arty and offbeat objects.
I HEART ARTY AND OFFBEAT OBJECTS! A couple of my favorite Eiffel Towers in the current collection:
