New Banksy Toys…With Apologies
|2012 saw the release of 2bithack’s limited edition Banksy toy, Smiley Copper, and 2013 is off to a solid start in Banksy bootlegging. Introducing a full spectrum of Rude Copper Banksy toys by the appropriately named new toy company, Apologies to Banksy!
Apologies to Banksy is “a UK company who design, develop and distribute collectable urban vinyl figures inspired by the works of Banksy, with our apologies…” Cheeky! The figures are “made from a combination of rotocast vinyl and PVC. They are phthalate free, safe to the environment and fully recyclable.” Green!
The Rude Copper toy is a matte finish bust, available in 9 solid colorways and 2 sizes. The 4-inch Copper is £10 (~$15 USD) and the 6-inch Cop is £20 (~$30 USD). Apologies to Banksy describes the figure as: “Our take on the image which started it all off over 10 years ago. An ideal gift for the people you love and those you don’t.”
They’ve also got a Bomb Hugger 6-inch figure currently available in DIY white (with free paint) and black and pink with extra bombs and bases for £20 (~$30 USD).
It’s a little hard to tell what these Banksy toys look like in real life, but given my anglophile tendencies and the fun array of colors and affordable prices, I’m interested. They seem like they could look good en masse…like a little army.

These are just… awful.
