Joe Ledbetter Piggy Banks as Vinyl Toys

I didn’t want to leave you with scary balls all weekend, so here’s something cute as a counterstrike. Joe Ledbetter is releasing a pair of (vinyl) piggy banks with Singapore-based Play Imaginative. The banks debut this weekend in P.I.’s booth at the Singapore Toy Games and Comic Convention.

Each pig measures 5.5 inches tall, with the pink pig being an edition of 2000 and the blue pig being an edition of 1000. The Joe Ledbetter piggy banks will be arriving stateside in October, and ToyQube already has a pre-order up: $25 pink / $35 blue.

I really like that Ledbetter is offering a range of price-points for fans of his work. Maybe you can’t afford a hand-painted resin bunny, but you could probably skip one or more of your weekend vices and grab this pig. I had one qualm with these, and I was able to reach Joe (in Rome!) to ask about it: Where’s the green colorway? According to Ledbetter, there WAS a green, but it got changed to blue. Oh the humanity!
