Japanese Fashion Brand, LUKER by NEIGHBORHOOD, Gets a Mascot Toy

Now this is something different. What we have here appears to be a vinyl biker dude with a non-bobble turnip head who seems to have stolen my glasses. Freshness fills in the details:

As a special celebration for GB Harajuku’s Hiroshima location, LUKER by NEIGHBORHOOD has create a special vinyl figure for the store. While this is not quite what we imagined the toy representation of Filthy Lucre would look like (so bright and yellow and happy), the little limited edition figurine does rock a cool leather jacket and black framed glasses like a good punk rock anarchist. The toy is only available in Japan and comes in a run of 500, so fans of the label might have to go a-hunting for them on the web.

Lucky for me, I don’t know a whole lot about the label. What I do know is that I like four-eyed anthropomorphic vegetable tough guys. So wacky. The Japanese do love a good mascot toy. Isn’t it about time Old Navy retired those modelquins and did something awesome like this?
