Tim Biskup x Twin Peaks Art
|It’s nice when my favorites in different genres collide. Tim Biskup rendered the iconic Laura Palmer image in his mosaic style for the Twin Peaks 20th Anniversary Art Exhibition. It’s CRAZY to think that it’s been twenty years and yet the show (and its fandom) is still hugely relevant to me. Twin Peaks was about characters, and though it may be a stretch, I’m sure it appears perfectly congruent through Dr. Jacoby’s red and blue lenses that I’d come to collect character toys in its wake.
I was honored to be invited to contribute a piece to this show. The fact that David Lynch himself is involved won me over. I can’t wait to see his work. I’ve been a fan forever. The day that I saw the actor that played Bob looking at axes in a hardware store is one of my all-time favorite memories. When they chose my painting for the postcard I got goosebumps. The opening should be really fun and strange. I hope to see you all there!
The show opens February 12th in Los Angeles and features: Glenn Barr, Scott Campbell, Jessica Joslin, Ashley Wood and more make Twin Peaks art!
Methinks this could be the kind of art show your imagination might conjure when left to its own devices – it probably already did – guessing Biskup will not be the only one with goosebumps on opening night! Have fun at your dream show!!!
Wow! Wish I could go to this too! Biskup really knocked this one out.
