How Cute Would I Look in this Collapsible Car?

Collapsible Car

Japanese company Kowa Tmsuk (whose awesome tagline is “Make Everyday More Fun”) are debuting Kobot (possibly the most adorable car I’ve ever seen) this weekend at The 42nd Tokyo Motor Show. Kobot  comes in three styles, the 3-wheeled single-seater Kobot Nu and Kobot Beta, and the 4-wheeled double-seater Kobot II. All three vehicles are designed for urban areas and have a target speed of about 19 MPH. Obviously, I’m partial to that sweet green Kobot Beta, which offers an extremely tight turning radius thanks to its singular free-moving rear wheel. And check THIS out:

Already small, the ‘Nu’ and ‘Beta’ models can be further reduced in length when parking thanks to a telescoping design, activated by smartphone, in which the vehicles’ rear wheel and seat fold up into the front of the car. The ‘Kobots’ are also capable of nesting when folded up, not unlike stored shopping carts.

Forget folding bikes! I want a collapsible car. Really, how cute would I look in this? OK, not as cute as the carshowgirls in the video below, but still pretty cute. The company plans to offer the cars in 2012.
