These public service announcements were designed to send a polite, practical and quintessentially British message to riders of the London Underground: Kill yourself at home. The ads appeal to blokes and birds contemplating suicide and ask them to show some consideration for their fellow passengers’ punctuality and tidiness. Ha ha HA!
Alas, the Considerate Suicide posters were a clever fake campaign by Elvis Communications, “an integrated agency that just loves people”. The melancholy ads took home the Grand Prix/Big Chip in the 2012 Chip Shop Awards for Creativity Without Limits. Well done.
