Todd Schorr‘s new solo show, Neverlasting Miracles, opened tonight in Los Angeles at Merry Karnowsky Gallery, and mong the amazing work, is this giant Todd Schorr sculpture. Antidote for a Worrisome World stands 9 feet tall and weighs over 300 pounds. Schorr writes:
“In a way my paintings are like an animated cartoon that has been frozen into one frame with all the clues to its storyline present somewhere within the composition.”
I hope to get to see this in person, so I can view all angles and piece together its story.
UPDATE: Arrested Motion just posted some more photos by Carlos Gonzalez from the opening. Click through for an incredible closeup of the sculpture’s eye, the painting that perhaps inspired the sculpture and what looks to be a bronze multiple!
