So You Think You Can Paint?

Every Thursday night, Club Six puts out free paint cans, free paint brushes, free 8-foot canvases and 1 question: “So you think you can paint?” Combined with cheap drinks, it’s an irresistible solicitation for thirsty and talented San Franciscans. The phenomenon is not just a hometown scene, however. As is blatantly obvious in my snapshot above, Club Six had a visit from KAWS tonight. Just kidding. But you gotta love living in a city where people appreciate a good KAWS joke.

So You Think You Can Paint is a weekly art party from 7PM-11PM. The idea is to complete as many 8-foot art pieces as possible before 11PM. When a canvas gets filled up, they flip it over. When both sides are covered, they put up more.

Don’t know how to paint? Doesn’t really matter. Also: Nome Edonna gave a free art lesson from 6-7PM tonight. Pretty cool. The event is free and recurring. Go San Francisco. Click through for a few more photos.
