For a Faber Castell ad campaign, Ogilvy & Mather used colored pencils to recreate Edvard Munch’s famous painting, The Scream. Vincent Van Gogh’s work was also given this spin on pointilism by the Singapore-based firm. More here.

In semi-related news, an original pastel version of The Scream fetched nearly $120 million from an anonymous buyer last Wednesday at Sotheby’s in New York, setting a new world record for a work of art sold at auction.
