The Sign Art of Occupy Wall Street

No Comment: Sign Art of Occupy Wall Street

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 8th, from 6-9PM, there will be a pop-up show of multimedia activist art from members and participants in the Occupy Wall Street movement on Wall Street. The show concerns the “current paradigm shift of human expression and the emerging social condition.” The exhibition is called “NO COMMENT,” and it will take place in the Red Zone at the JP Morgan Building at 23 Wall Street, right across from the New York Stock Exchange and Federal Hall.

FISH DRUGS, dude. How is this allowed to be OK?

On Sunday, removable walls with graffiti art will be walked out of the front door of the gallery, at the corners of Wall Street and Broad. All art has to be permanently removed by 6PM on Sunday, October 9th.

Some of the handwritten signs people are carrying in the streets and posting on the We Are the 99% Tumblr are really heartbreaking. These are normal people whose hopes and dreams have been replaced by health problems and debt. I might have to make a sign. I’m 3000 miles away from Liberty Plaza, but I’m still the 99%.
