DABS MYLA at Comic-Con 2012

It was really cool to see so many “beyond toys” artists in the “Toy Cultyard” at Comic-Con this year. Among them, Hi-Fructose sponsored this Audrey Kawasaki signing, and Color Ink Book sponsored DABS MYLA.

In addition to the four new Color Ink Book covers by Kathie Olivas & Brandt Peters, Honkey Kong, David Horvath and Jordan Debney, the Brothers Washburn showcased their Volume 16 cover by DABS MYLA (available from drop-down menu here).

The Australia-born, LA-based couple work together so seemingly seamlessly and happily. They should give seminars for married people and contentious collaborators across the world.

I totally pulled a “fan boy” move and whipped out a blank mini-Circus Punk. I kind of couldn’t help it. I wanted to witness them creating together, and that little knock-down doll REALLY needed a DABS MYLA face. SUPER nice people and VERY talented artists; hope they show in San Francisco soon!
