Designer Chairs by Tokidoki, Kozyndan and Zutto
|This is a Limited Edition (UK) continues to chair the campaign for luxury fine art seating with a new trio of artist-designed wingchairs. The “British classic” chair has been updated by tokidoki (Italy), Kozyndan (USA) and Zutto (Russia). Each designer wingchair is limited to an edition of 33 sequentially numbered pieces.
The chairs are 100% made in the UK by a company boasting over 65 years experience in furniture making. The frames are made from kiln dried hardwood birch and beech. They are hand cut then glued, screwed and pinned on all joints and have supporting blocks on pressure points. The back is fully sprung and is padded with high density foam. The seat is sprung and has a high density reflex foam seat. The legs are hand cut and finished and are made of solid beech wood. Built to last. The fabric is a faux suede – printed in-house by us. The Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the bottom of the chair, the artists will sign one of the chair legs.
We last saw TIALE back in March with the debut of their new Caramelaw chair. I can only imagine how completely maddening (this expression is used with a positive connotation) it would look to see someone all tatted up tokidoki-style sitting in one of these chairs. That would be some freaky Liu Bolin kinda shit!
The chairs look awesome and luxe, but the price of 1,595 GPB converts to an art chair costing over $2,500 USD. The Euro conversion is much better at 1,819 EUR making it a sweet throne for the clientele of Dusseldorf, Germany’s (heavenly) Toykio.
