A Complement to Your Designer Sporks

I love when people take it upon themselves to make things that don’t exist because they want or need them. Case in point: Taking a cue from the spork, designer Neill Pitt fused a spoon and a scalpel to create cutlery complementary to designer sporks. (I recommend calling it a “scalpoon”.) Of his innovation, Pitt writes: “No more tea in my biro or spoons messing up my desk.” The niche cutlery is currently in prototype stage, though Pitt doesn’t mention any plans for mass-production (yet). More photos here. Fun.
