Thanks to a tip from Mike Sutfin, I decided to make the unusual decision to leave my house. The trip was instigated (and then Instagramed) on behalf of recent Rich Jacobs art on the street. For the curious: “These pressures have no meaning” comes from lyrics by Oxnard punks, Dr. Know.
The murals shown here are located on Telegraph Ave & 43rd in Oakland. I think Jacobs began working on them last month. For all you 3D-heads out there, back in 2005, Jacobs and Charlie Becker got together to make a limited edition of, well, 3D heads! Click through for more murals.
“Try to do something creative everyday.” Good advice.
“These are not fall colors.” Not really, I guess.
Nearby, at 1-2-3-4-Go Records, Jacobs is working on a new mural now. Awesome. I love seeing art in progress on the streets where I live.
