Skateboards Made of Everyday Objects

Contemplate this: For every busted up board that Haroshi removes from circulation, a parallel conceptual skateboard is born? It’s not the truth, but last year, Arthur King and Hugues Lawson-Body used everyday objects like books, T-shirts, old electronics and submarine sandwiches to create fun, albeit unskateable, skateboards.

One of my favorites is this sod board. I love grass-covered stuff as a general rule (for instance), but I think it’s an especially successful object, given those Keep Off the Grass signs. There’s also a few meta jokes, like how the pink foam board is titled Joy “Division,” as if you enlarge it, you’ll see those iconic Peter Saville waveforms.
