SKWAK Murals at Le Centre Pompidou
|French artist SKWAK was commissioned by the prestigious Le Centre Pompidou (museum) in Paris to create an interactive mural for their young public workshop area. Kids are encouraged to fill in the SKWAK murals by coloring on the walls! I got it started from a distance…
Last night, we found out that Kymia Nawabi won Work of Art Season 2, and her amazing drawings share wall history with art world Illuminati. Well, for the next three months, adorable French children can have their work displayed under the same roof as that of Edvard Munch and Yayoi Kusama.
The museum will change out the wallpaper each time time it is fully colored in, and they will also document the project’s evolution. Sweet!
[If you’re far away from France, you can play around with SKWAK’s designs with the Mr. Chiizu iPhone app. And for the next couple days, you can enter to win a SKWAK prize pack over on Beautiful Decay!]
Hello Mr. Skwak;
Skwak has been my nickname since high school (rhymes with {sister of} Hawk). I am going to be in Paris May 19 – 26th and will find the Le Centre Pompidou to see your fabulous and functional art.
Be well,
Skwak
