Surreal Action Figures on Blistercards as Prints by Jordan Speer

Hipsters never get old! (Actually, they do.) From Hipster Animals on T-shirts to hipster humans as action figures, the media’s favorite subculture stereotype is still going strong (for art fodder, at least). Jordan Speer is an artist who “makes pictures with computers.” Some of his pictures are of tattoo artists and turbotalker action figures and others are quite a bit more surreal.

For irony that’d make any hipster proud, you can pick up hi-brow Giclée prints of Speer’s lo-brow action figures for just $23 here. Or tweet at him @beefstrong. Click through for some of my favorites. And if you dig drawings of action figures “mint on card/bag,” you might like these hyperrealistic paintings of superheroes in bags as Giclée prints, too.
