What's a maven?
Per Wikipedia: "A maven is a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge on to others. The word maven comes from the Hebrew, via Yiddish, and means one who understands, based on an accumulation of knowledge. Malcolm Gladwell used it in his book The Tipping Point (Little Brown, 2000) to describe those who are intense gatherers of information and impressions, and so are often the first to pick up on new or nascent trends."
Within a 2-week period, I was called "The Toy Maven" by Jason Feinberg of The Jailbreak Collective and Brian Jenkins of Get Satisfaction. It stuck.
If you'd like me to write a feature or cover an event for your online or print publication, get in touch. You can see a visual sample of my work on Flickr. I'm usually happy to offer my opinion, and on occasion, I might even make you famous (no promises, but give this a look!) or grab the attention of Kidrobot's founder, Paul Budnitz.
I wish you good luck with your projects! Click the image to head over to my latest Flickr collections.
