Peaceful BEECHBLOCKS by Pepe Hiller

Pepe Hiller is back in his studio, and that can only mean one thing: more sweet wooden designer toys from Switzerland!

Peaceful BEECHBLOCKS by Pepe Hiller

Hiller writes:

The BEECHBLOCKS comes from a beautiful place where it is always late spring, with blooming flowers and cloudless skies, never too warm or too cold. Their heraldic motto is “Walk upright like the trees and keep the sun in your heart!”

It’s a good motto, isn’t it?

The first edition BEECHBLOCKS are limited to 20 pieces.  They’re made of beech wood, with brass feathers and bees wax finish. Each 4-inch wooden art toy is signed and numbered (by embossing) by Pepe Hiller for $50. The BEECHBLOCKS become available at 12PM PST today here.

Awesome work. Especially the fact that you are using wood and not plastic. I would love to find out more about how to get into this eco-friendly medium. Do you do everything yourself or do you put finishing touches on these only? Thanks for a great toy. JS

thanks a lot Jenya, glad you like my little wood chaps! :) yeah i love to work with wood, it’s such a nice material! as for my toy series i do all the figures by hand at my small wood workshop by myself. i also do the finishing and all the shipping stuff by myself, so it’s pretty much a one man team at the moment. :)

if you like to get to know more about wood toys and about my design process you’ll maybe get to read an interview here on jeremy’s page soon! stay tuned… ^___^
