What do you get when two clean and simple, cute and playful vinyl toys come together? A collision of cuteness. In the case of The Circle of Rody, UAMOU + RODY = cute overload. Above is an edition of UAMOUs called “Oops! I Ate Rody.” Even cannibalism can be cute. Love it.
Ayako Takagi once again takes us inside the studio of master painter Goto-san. Together, they created Tropical, Oceanic and Cosmic colorways of the two toys.
The Circle of Rody (vol. 2) show opens tomorrow, September 9th at The Rody Store in Tokyo. It runs through September 30th. Uamou’s creator, Ayako Takagi will attend the opening. Many figures are priced between 2,500 and 10,000 Yen. The Rody Store seems like a very happy place. As Liz Lemon would say, “I want to go there.” Check out photos of The Rody Store, Goto-san’s studio and some of the figures below.
