Halloween Jack-O’-Lantern Inc by Instinctoy
|Japan’s Instinctoy is on fire! Hot on the footprints of last month’s glow-in-the-dark Panda comes a new toy with a Halloween twist. For Jack-O’-Lantern, Hiroto Ohkubo took the drippy, spiky facial features of our beloved Inc Bear and carved them into a grand sofubi pumpkin head!
But that’s not all. While Inc Bears typically exist in two states (day and night), Jack has three.
For the first time, Instinctoy outfitted the toys with miniature LED lights. Turn off the house lights, and Jack-O’-Lantern’s flocked fingers and liquid parasite will glow green. Then, turn on Jack’s headlights, and burn the house down!
These look amazing! Technically, we get an “extra” parasite with Jack, as he’s got the new one sprouting from his stem and the usual one in back pocket position.
With all the cool GID and LED effects, it’s easy to forget how good the figure looks in regular old daylight.
Instinctoy’s Jack-O’-Lantern Inc toy is a limited edition of 100 pieces for JPY10500 or ~$131 USD + shipping. Each figure comes with an individually serialized leather tag in a jute bag. A warning card which Google Translate wants me to believe is a “letter from the devil” completes the full package.
Sales begin on Saturday, October 27th (local Japan time), but overseas collectors are encouraged to make an inquiry following the directions here. EMS ships fast, which means Jack could arrive in time for Halloween…
