The Sucklord Expands His Gay Empire for Comic-Con 2012
|Everyone’s favorite toy-designer-cum-reality-TV-persona, The Sucklord, is extending last month’s gay pride festivities to Comic-Con. During the SUCKtalk days, when The Sucklord was appearing on Bravo’s Work of Art, I asked him about his most popular figure, The Gay Storm Trooper. Here’s what he said:
I just wanted to make an alternately colored Storm Trooper, and my favorite color is pink, so boom. And I just made it gay because I like gay. There you have it. It just happened to work. It wasn’t any sort of master plan. I consider it a piece of pop art, if I was going to put any sort of category on what I do. Pop is what sells right? Shit sells so I’m gonna make it.
And make it he will. The Sucklord will have at least FOUR totally gay toys available during Comic-Con at DKE’s booth #4728.
The Toy Whose Name We Cannot Speak (above) will release on Thursday, July 12th at 11AM during a signing with The Sucklord. There will be 9 pieces of the 5-inch resin figure available for $150 each.
Licorice Leslie (above) will be available beginning on Wednesday July 11th during Preview Night. DKE will have 70 pieces of the 3-inch blister-carded resin figure for $45 each.
The Gay Enterprise two-pack will release on Thursday, July 12th at 11AM during a signing with The Sucklord. There will be 30 sets of the 3.75-inch blister-carded resin figures available for $150 a piece.
Gay Energon: Roddiums Pride will release on Thursday, July 12th at 11AM during a signing with The Sucklord. There will be 40 pieces of the 3.75-inch blister-carded resin figure available for $125 each.
