In 2011, Northern California artist, Daniel Fleres, went searching for the mysterious Swanicorn. After a year of investigating, researching, and exploring, Fleres succeeded in discovering the Swanicorn. He saw Panda Swanicorns, Fine China Swanicorns, Flamingo Swanicorns and even the incredibly-hard-to-locate, Camouflage Swanicorn.
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 12th, Sacramento’s Dragatomi presents Swanicornatopia, a collection of paintings and original resin toy art inspired by Fleres’ exploits. The 16 Swanicorn Companions are unique sculptures, all hand-painted by Fleres. There will be an opening reception from 7-11PM with the artist in attendance. You can check out a preview for the show here. Wouldn’t a Swanicorn look great with a Stegoforest? Just sayin’.

I met Fleres for the first time at the recent Ford GoFurther event. Talented dude and nice guy too. Definitely get in on these Swanicorn Companions, or you’re destined to be that person saying, “I wish I’d gotten one when they were affordable.”
