Karoushi at Toy Art Gallery

Dink Green Grody Shogun

Last weekend, Karoushi featuring the airbrushed Japanese vinyl of Grody Shogun and Velocitron, opened at LA’s Toy Art Gallery. “Karoushi” is the Japanese concept of death by overwork.  The two Japan-based Americans hoped that “attendees to the gallery show [could] get a taste of just what two people can accomplish when they decide that their own health, sanity and overall well-being rank far below achieving their dreams of revolutionizing the Japanese vinyl world”. Well, survey says they did, as the large majority of vinyls sold out immediately.

Karoushi at TAG

Pretty impressive for Grody Shogun, Luke Rook’s toymaking entity that only officially began last year. Congrats to the artists, the fans and TAG. See if you can grab up any leftovers here.
