Yosuke Ueno Cushions for This is a Limited Edition

This is a Limited Edition just added three new pillows and giclee prints by Japan’s Yosuke Ueno to its international roster of artists. The designs include “Soul Free,” “White Soul,” and “Negative Never Again” (the latter of which, many speculate, would make a great vinyl toy…).

If you dare to enter the world of Japanese pop surrealist Yosuke Ueno, get ready for a strange and surreal adventure. Ueno will take you on a magical ride, introducing you to everyone from a giant baby swan to what looks like Rainbow Bright’s black sheep cousin. Weird, creepy but in a beautiful kind of way, Ueno’s art stands out for its interesting juxtapositions and hidden symbolism.

I’ve been really digging Ueno’s work since I got to see several paintings up close at Gallery1988SF (R.I.P.). The images chosen appear to translate really well to the pillow-as-canvas.
