Edible Coffee Cups for Sweet-Tooth Caffeine Fiends

Have you ever enjoyed an affogato? An affogato is a truly heavenly concoction for caffeine fiends and sweet-tooths alike. Per Wikipedia:

An affogato (Italian for “drowned”) is a coffee-based beverage that usually takes the form of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso.

Imagine consuming the last sip/lick of coffee/ice cream, and then EATING THE COOKIE-BASED CUP. That’s exactly what’s brewing at Lavazza’s Creativity Lab.

Designed by Enrique Luis Sardi, the edible cup is made of a pastry base and covered with a special icing sugar that works as an insulator. The edible coffee cups are also waterproof “allowing you to use the cup and then appreciate its taste”.

The edible coffee cups are still in development, but if they can make coffee into lamps, anything is possible! YUM.
