Spring and Surreal Pillows from TIALE

Written on by jeremy

I dig the English-made artist-designed limited edition housewares of This is a Limited Edition. We have a couple of their pillows, and one of these days, I’ll get around to blogging about them. In the meantime, TIALE has announced their spring series, and it’s a strong showing.

Surprising myself, I quite like the Luke Chueh cushions. Here is a format where his minimalist, enduring style just works. Combined with the Vannen artist watch, this makes two recent, innovative uses of the canvas for Chueh. A Pop Surreal pillow? Kind of genius.

Nathan Jurevicius returns with further designs from the Scarygirl universe, Caramelaw brings more mischief from Singapore, and San Francisco’s own Julie West debuts with some glorious green.

Nice stuff. This is a Limited Edition pillows are available at select shops and galleries in Europe and the U.S. or online through ClickforArt.com.

Jeremy thinks...

Olly Moss: "If you look at classic art, a lot of it is religious and mythic iconography and symbolism. Now a days it’s a similar thing: It’s just instead of having Hercules, Athena and Apollo it’s Darth Vader and Optimus Prime."
