New Additions to Mike Leavitt’s Art Army

The uber-talented Mike Leavitt has drafted a handful of new recruits for his Art Army. Left to right: Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Matthew Barney and Julian Schnabel. Leavitt’s latest additions focus on modern art provocateurs and painters who cross over into filmmaking. As with all of Leavitt’s figures, the likenesses and costume/commentary are spot-on. You’ll find these four artists (and more) making the scene later this year at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NY.
