Monsters and Misfits Sculptures

People often ask me what kind of toy art I like. It’s not an easy question to answer, but at times like this, it is an easy question to illustrate. I like these. Here are the sculptural works from this week’s Monsters and Misfits art show hosted by Tomenosuke at Kusakabe Folk Museum in Japan. The figures are by Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters, and Chris Ryniak. Many of them are collaborative works, and most of them have been sold. I’m stoked to have snagged a Skelve multiple and an exhibition book for myself. See what’s still available here.
