Since I have a bit of a reputation for lambasting customized toys, I’m always happy to defy expectations and give props to excellence. You are looking at a trio of one-off “Stans” hand-painted by Travis Louie on Circus Posterus‘ Skelve platform.
Louie painted the Skelves for Circus Posterus’ booth at this past weekend’s Spectrum Art event in Kansas City, MO. Each Skelve was priced at $500, and they were quickly snatched up.
“Stan” is Travis Louie’s own iteration of the Skelve. Stan made his debut in glossy Ghostly White at last year’s SDCC. Louie previously painted a one-off Stan for Stranger Factory’s Halloween group show, Bewitched. I probably don’t need to say this, but to whoever picked up the green fella in this trio: I HATE YOU You have fantastic taste.
