Ellen Urselmann is a Dutch glass artist whose blown glass sculptures incorporate toys and medical ephemera.

Her glass bubbles are a way to capture the intangible:  ”a thought, a feeling, just in that one moment before it no longer tangible.” The fragility of the medium conveys “the tension between the future and the past.”

Urselmann’s work exists “between ever get and never have.” She poses the question: “How did we get here, what now…?” What now indeed.
