Ron English Duncan High Hash Brownies

If you liked the packaging for Ron English’s Fat Tony more than the toy, this is for you. Team Popaganda just released the first in a series of weekly $1 “downloadable product subversion designs.” This week’s feature plays off a package of Duncan Hines brownie mix. Team Popaganda says it “addresses the issue of marijuana legalization by showing what a post-pot-prohibition supermarket experience might look like with Duncan High Hash Brownies on a supermarket shelf near you!”

Ron English’s website is beginning to look like a supermarket with something for sale almost everyday… While the copy on the Duncan High box could certainly be more clever, and the whole package design could look better (ala Trustocorp), the idea is still fun. So pay a dollar and download the template here (I did). Then: print, cut, glue and subvert!

Olly Moss: "If you look at classic art, a lot of it is religious and mythic iconography and symbolism. Now a days it’s a similar thing: It’s just instead of having Hercules, Athena and Apollo it’s Darth Vader and Optimus Prime."
