Do You Smoke? Mini Lighters by Julia Chiang

Julia Chiang is a Brooklyn-based artist previously written up here for her porcelain apples. The apples were intended as symbols of desire, as well as icons of the biggest apple: New York. If that seemed too abstract, her latest art product should be crystal clear to your (red) eyes. These two mini-lighters answer the question “Do you smoke?” without saying a  single word. Chiang’s Yeah (joints) and Nah (cigarettes) lighters are on sale in-store at Standard Hotels. You could probably talk someone into taking an order over the phone if you ask really nicely. Or wait for them to show up in their online shop.
